Servicing your APEX Modular Regulator

Servicing the APEX regulator can be done in less than 2 minutes, with 3 orings and no re-setting of the regulator adjuster, so your output pressure will remain the same after the service, without measuring or guesswork!

Using the hex spanner provided, (or 14mm spanner) slacken the regulator out of the body case and then unscrew 4 turns. This will expose the threads on the regulator.

Screw the M4 bolt into the back of the regulator piston, through the hole in the body case and use this to push the entire regulator assembly out of the body case. the whole assembly will push out easily.

Separate the Piston and Belleville washer assembly from the regulator body and move the M4 threaded bolt to the front of the piston to make sure your Belleville washers can’t escape or change their orientation during servcing.

Replace the 3 orings, one on the piston, one on the Regulator body, and the internal seal that sits around the small end of the piston.

Replace the internal seal inside the regulator body carefully, we recommend to use a plastic/wooden toothpick to remove the old seal so you don’t scratch the block.

Remove the M4 bolt from the front of the piston, gently refit the piston into place inside the regulator body making sure not to damage the internal seal or damage the edge of the piston.

Replace the seals on your rifle/model specific body case and nip up the regulator assembly using the tool.

Your APEX regulator is now fully serviced, no need to check pressures as the adjuster has not moved, so your regulator will be at the same pressure it was before.
