BSA R10 MARS System – for CCS Shroud / VC Moderator – improve your silencers performance

Maximise the performance of your existing silencer with our Modular Airgun Reflex Shroud (MARS) system. This setup is for the BSA R10 fitted with the BSA VC Silencer / CCS Shroud & can be used on all available R10 models.

Replace the rear piece of your silencer with our backflow adapter and use the volume of air between your silencer and breech block to maximize your silencer efficiency. By hugely increasing the amount of available volume, our MARS system massively reduces muzzle report from your existing moderator. Triple stripping the shot blast back down over the barrel gives your silencer more time to silence the blast of air from your muzzle report. Our triple stripper design is calibre specific and is only available for the standard R10 ½” UNF Silencer thread. Earlier models will require an adapter, if an adapter I required we suggest going a calibre larger than your rifle to prevent any issues with clipping due to adapter misalignment.

For your rifle to take the 30mm OD carbon shroud, you will require approximately 7.5mm of space between your 15.5mm BSA barrel and the underside of your scope. The easiest way to check this is with a 7.5mm drill bit.

Please note: To measure your barrel you will need to remove any shroud or moderator parts you currently have fitted to your rifle. Then measure from the magazine inlet (where the pellet enters the barrel) to the end of the threaded section of your barrel (muzzle).

The MARS system will arrive in 3 parts:

1x Barrel length specific Carbon tube body

1x R10 Specific rear adapter

1x Triple stripper replacement part for your existing silencer.

You will be required to remove the rear part of your BSA VC silencer to fit the MARS system to your rifle. Most ends can be unscrewed by clamping the silencer body in a vice and gently unscrewing the end of the silencer, some may require a small amount of heat.

To install the MARS onto your R10, we suggest sliding the rear adapter down the barrel first, screwing the stripper bush/silencer adapter onto the barrel threads and moving the rear bush into place using the carbon shroud to get the spacing correct by lying it down the side of the 2 parts, resting it on the 2 oring diameters. When the distance between the 2 parts is correct, nip up the 3 grubscews in the rear adapter. Remove the Silencer assembly, slide the carbon tube down the barrel and over the rear adapter, and screw the silencer assembly back on, aligning everything together. The carbon tube should still be allowed to spin when fitted correctly. Due to the small variances in BSA barrel length, there may be a small gap at the rear of the shroud assembly when fitted.

These items do not fall under the VCR act of 2006 and can therefore be sent via post directly to you. They are replacement parts for your existing silencer assembly and are not a silencer/moderator in their own right.
